The Masala Dabba & Daily Organic Spices
The Masala Dabba is a container that houses various spice mixtures that go into Indian cooking.
I was fortunate to grow up around lots of cooks in my family. My mother and father both took pride in preparing and cooking delicious Indian dishes. I remember my mother taking out her masala dabba and putting it beside the stove before she prepared countless lunch/dinners.
She and many other relatives in my family were connoisseurs when it came to their spice mixtures. Many took the trouble to dry and grind their own spice blends as well.
Although just an eastern style spice rack, the masala dabba serves as the integral part of Indian cuisine. Having spices such as red chili powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, mustard seeds, etc.. all in one area is an important part of the Indian cooking process.
If you've been cooking for a while then you know exactly what I mean. If you're just getting started with Indian cooking then the masala dabba will slowly gain a level of importance in your life.
Today we are fortunate to have quality spices at arms reach.
Below are a few reasons why you need a masala dabba (if you don't have one already)
