New Years Resolutions to Adopt from the East
2018 is just around the corner. For many, the New Year marks a beginning. A time to get healthy, fit, financially secure, find love, etc. It's when many wipe their slates clean so to speak.
The New Year ushers in change and if we've figured out anything in life, it's that change is constant, so we might as well embrace it!
Today we wanted to share a few New Years Resolutions to Adopt from the East!
In no particular order we wanted to share a few practices, foods and activities that will jet set you for a healthy and properous 2018!
This ancient practice will become bigger in 2018. Though social media outlets more people are exposed to meditation today than ever before. It's a great thing. There are many practices adopt so finding one that resonates with your life is important. Not only does yoga help with peace and serenity, it also helps build lean muscle, strengthen bones and improves flexibility. Don't know what kind of Yoga to start with? We recommend Hatha Yoga because it dives into the fundamentals of the practice, but if you want a challenge then try Vinyasa yoga. Whether it's in Indian food, simple dishes you cook at home or add into your favorite warm beverage, Turmeric is a spice that should be amongst the essentials in your kitchen cabinet. Make it a point in 2018 to cook more. Today people are more busy than ever and eating out is more common than cooking a nice dinner at home! Cooking helps us connect with ourselves and ingredients. After cooking a meal you'll feel accomplished. You'll also be healthier and perhaps even happier.
Eat More Raw Food
Eating fruits and vegetables in their natural state unlocks different chemical properties than when cooked. For example with Raw Spinach you get vitamin C and when cooked you get calcium. Having more raw food in your diet increases energy levels, prevents fatigue and improves digestion. It'll also make you face clear.
